Civil War battlefields are scattered all throughout the valley, extending from Winchester, VA all the way down to Waynesboro, VA.
Besides being able to visit the battlefields of McDowell, Cross Keys, Port Republic, New Market, and Waynesboro, you can visit the many sites surrounding the city of Winchester itself.
Just around the city of Winchester, you have:

• 1st - 3rd battles of Winchester
• Rutherford's Farm
• 1st & 2nd battles of Kernstown
