German Civil War Words
Even though the Civil War was an American Civil War, many
soldiers served and fought who were immigrants to this country
and didn't speak English as their native tongue.
Many of those soldiers spoke German, even in the ranks!
Please enjoy this brief introduction to German vocabulary
necessary to portraying these soldiers and being able to
understand a little more of their story and their culture.
