Plain Irish Stew

Plain Irish Stew Recipe
These quantities have been adjusted from the original for 5 men
- 5 lbs beef
- 0.8 lbs onions
- 1.2 lbs potatoes
- 0.8 tsp salt
- 0.3 Tbsp pepper
- water
Cut up the beef into 1/4 pound chunks.
Cut up the onion and potato into large chunks. No need to dice.
Add in the salt and pepper.
Simmer for 2 hours on the fire.
After simmering, mash up the potatoes to thicken and serve.
