Charles H. Curtiss
Join Will as he shows us a grouping from the collection of the Detroit Historical Society - the early war jacket, junior officer frock coat and line sash of Captain Charles H. Curtiss of Co. E, 7th Michigan Infantry.
The Charles H. Curtiss Grouping
Charles Curtiss started service in the 7th Michigan as their first quartermaster sergeant in 1861.
He eventually rose to the rank of Captain of Co. E, 7th Michigan. He was mustered out in 1864.
